A debutat in 1994 la Opera din Berna in / Cavalieri di Ekebu de Zandonai, cäntat apoi si in Madama Butterfly de Puccini, Nunta lui Figaro (Contesa) de Mozart, Falstaff (rolul Alice Ford, cu Bern Weikl in rolul titu- lar) $i Otello de Verdi, Povestirile lui Hoffmann (Antonia) de Offenbach. in 1998 a evoluat in opera pucciniana la Opera de Stat din Praga, a sustinut rolul Liu din Turandotde acelasi compozitor in cadrul Festivalului din Avenches etc., debutänd, un an mai tarziu, in Aurul Rinului(Freia) de Wagner, sub bagheta lui Armin Jordan, in regia semnatä de Moshe Leiser si Patrice Courier, apäränd apoi in rolul titular din Tosca de Puccini, iar in 2001 intr-o nouä montare cu Trubadurul de Verdi sau in Walkiria (Sieglinde) de Wagner, spectacol dirijat de Richard Armstrong in cadrul Festivalului din Edinburgh $i la Glasgow. In ultimii ani a cäntat la Berna in Andrea Chenier de Giordano si Tannhöuserde Wagner, la Basel in Liliacul (Rosalinda) de J. Strauss, la Hanovra in Tosca de Puccini, iar la Festivalul de la Avenches in Don Carlo de Verdi. A impresionat si in rolul Fata Morgana din opera Dragostea celor frei portocale de Prokofiev, printre proiectele de viitor afländu-se si o nouä productie cu Trubadurului la Avenches. In repertoriul vocal-simfonic a abordat partituri Requiemul de Verdi (1996, 1997, 1998), Simfonia IX si Missa Solemnisde Beethoven (1997), oratoriul Ioana d’Arc de Honneger (1998), Simfonia Urica de Zemslinsky (1998), Messe solennelle de Berlioz sau Simfonia a IV-a de Mahler (1999). Swiss borne soprano Ursula Füri-Bernhard studied with Kathrin Graf at the Konservatorium Zurich and with Elisabeth Glauser at the Konservatorium Bern, where she received the Tschumi award forthe best diploma of the year. She took part in a masterclass of Brigitte Fassbender. In 1994/5 she made her highly acclaimed operatic debut in Berne in the role of ‘Anna’ („I Cavalieri di Ekebu“ by Zandonai). Other parts, she subsenquently sang in Berne are ‘Cio-Cio-San’ („Madame Butterfly“) ‘Contessa’ („Le Nozze d Figaro), ‘Alice Ford’ (next to Bern Weikl in the title role of „Falstaff') and ‘Antonia’ („Les Contes d’Hoffmann“). 1998 she sang - among others - ‘Cio-Cio-San’ at the Prague State Opera, her first ‘Liii’ („Turandot“) at the Avenches Festival, ‘Desdemona’ („Otello“) in Berne as well as the title part of Tschaikowskij’s „Yolantha“ in concert form in Berne conducted by Dimitrij Kitajenko. In spring 1999 Ursula Füri-Bernhard made her most successful debut at the Grand Theätre de Geneve in the part of ‘Freia’ („Das Rheingold“) conducted by Armin Jordan and directed by Moshe Leiser and Patrice Courier. In fall 1999 she sang her first ‘Tosca’ in Berne, where her first “Leonora” (“II Trovatore” will follow in 2001. Lately she added ‘Maddalena’ (“Andrea Chenier”) and ‘Elisabeth’ (“Tannhäuser”) in new productions in Berne and her first ‘Rosalinde’ in a new production “Die Fledermaus” in Basel, to her repertoire, she sang “Tosca” in Hanover and “Don Carlo” at the Avenches Festival. Actuaily she is singing highly successful ‘Fata Morgana’ in a new pro duction “LAmour des trois oranges” in Basel, among her future projects is a new production “II Trovatore” in Avenches. Ursula Füri-Bernhard sang the „Requiem“ by Verdi 1996 in TalIin, Oslo and Stuttgart conducted by Helmut Rilling and in Hamburg, 1997 he sang it in Rosenheim and Niederaltaich and - conducted by Maestro Gandolfi - in Avenches. The same year she sang her first Beethoven IX. and „Missa Solemnis“ in Germany.Niederaltaich In 1998 she sang „Jeanne d’Arc“ by Honegger conducted by Helmut Rilling in Stuttgart, and „Lyrische Symphonie“ by Zemslinsky conducted by Daniel Klainer in Stralsund. In 1998 Ursula Füri-Bernhard sang the „Requiem“ by Verdi in Nyon con ducted by Michel Corboz. They continue their collaboration the „Messe Solennelle“ by Berlioz in Lissabon and concerts in both Switzerland and France in 1999. In 1999 she also sang Mahler’s Symphony no 4 conducted by A. Rahbari in Zagreb followed by more concerts in Germany, Switzerland and Portugal. She recorded the title role of „Rusalka“ conducted by A. Rahbari.
