BAYIT HADASH means „New Home" in Hebrew. It is also the title of a famous work by Rabbi Joel Sirkes (1561-1640). BAYIT HADASH is a project connected with a tradition and with preserving its memory, but it also focuses on the future. It involves questions about the history, reality and prospects of Jewish life in Poland. BAYIT HADASH is a series of encounters with Jewish culture and history. It takes place during the period of the High Holidays: Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur, Succoth and Simchath Torah. BAYIT HADASH is a forum for dialogue within society and between faiths. BAYIT HADASH is addressed to everyone who cares about the heritage of the Polish Jews and Polish-Jewish coexistence, and above all the residents of Cracow and particularly the Kazimierz district. The 10 th edition of BAYIT HADASH Encounters with Jewish Culture takes place in the 670" year of the existence of Kazimierz.
