At half past I Cape Roxo N.E.byE. half E. 5 miles, at the same time altered the course to S.byW. a quarter before 4 had 4 fathoms for three or four casts* — and” then 7 fathoms S.byE. Up East. S.byE. Hove to, to speak the long boat, and then bore up again. Beggar’s Benison and long boat in company.' Lat. observed, 13. 44. N. Sunday 3d June 1793. Moderate breezes and hazy weather. At 5 saw breakers on the larboard bow: at half past 6 abreast of the south break head of the shoal of Cape St. Mary’s, which we passed in 4 fathoms, at half a mile distance ; at the same time the westernmost l,„J 0-i.yli o leagues ; hauleu iu ul.e wayward.
