White-Stone. • 14. ^ •’ White-Stone. r . • » Weifs-Stein.—Werner. The chara&eriftic colour of this rock is white* hence its name. It is principally compofed of compadt felfpar, and very little mica, and has, ometimes a flaty, fometimes a .granular ftruc- ' ture. In fome varieties the fcales of mica, are very abundant, and thefe referable mica-flate. It contains, as accidental conftituent parts, garnet and kyamte. It has been hitherto found only in Saxony and Moravia, on the Continent, and a variety of it appears in the mountains in the South of Scotland. CHAP.
