The foffils of this fpecies appear to pafs into hornblende, albeft, and tremolite. Thus albeftous a %nolite feems to pafs into amianth, the blackilh green variety of common a&ynolite appears to be intermediate between a&ynolite and hornblende, as is fhown by its colours, luftre and hardnefs ; and the greenifli white variety of glaffy aaynolite, verges on Slaffy tremolite. \ THIRTEENTH
