Chemical Characters. Before the blowpipe it intumesces, and melts very easily into a milk-white nearly translucent globule. Constituent Parts. It occurs imbedded in granite, in the mountain of Hradisko, near to Roserfa in Moravia; in quartz which is contained in granite, in the Itiesengebirge in Silesia; in granite at Penig in Saxony; also in primitive rocks in Uton in Sweden ; in Norway ; in the vicinity of Li" moges in France ; and in the Isle of Elba*.
