Observations. A mixture of red cobalt ocbre, black cobalt-ochre, with ocbre of nickel and native silver, occurs in the mines of Allemont and Schemnitz in Hungary, and is known to the miners by the name of Goose-dung ore. It is the minera argenti mollior diversicolor, Waller, t. ii. p. 316.; Mine diargent merde d'oie, Delisle, t. iii. p. 150.; Cobalt mer- de d'ote, Brong. ; Cobalt arseniate terreux argentijere, Lu cas ; and the Gansekothigsilber <§• gansikothigerz of the Germans. Some other mixtures of silver-ores have recei ved the same name.
