4 90 ANTIMONY. ^ It occurs massive, disseminated, spongy, and usually mcrusting crystals of grey antimony ore. It is dull. The fracture is earthy, and sometimes inclines to ra diated. It is soft, passing into very soft. It is rather sectile. It is heavy. Chemical Characters. Before the blowpipe, on charcoal, it becomes white, and evaporates without melting. With borax, it intu- mesees, and is partly reduced to the metallic state. Geognoslic and Geographic Situations. It occurs always in veins, and accompanied with grey antimony-ore, and sometimes with red antimony-ore. It is found at Dublowitz, near Saltschaw in Bohemia; Telkebanya in Hungary; Toplitz in Transylvania; Braunsdorf, in the kingdom of Saxony; on the Sonnen- berg, near Mittersill in Salzburg; and in Siberia.
