This mineral is found principally in Hungary and Transylvania. It generally occurs in small veins in por phyry and grey-vvaeke. The minerals with which it is most frequently associated in these veins, are quartz, iron-pyrites, and grey antiniony-ore. Besides these, the following also occur, viz. various ores of silver; also ores of copper, and ot these copper-pyrites, grey copper-ore, copper-glance, variegated copper-ore, and copper-green, are the most frequent; almost the only iron-ores are brown ironstone , the ores of zinc are yellow and brown blende ; of lead, leadglance or galena, and green lead-ore ; traces of copper-nickel, and white cobalt-ore ; native ar senic, arsenical-pyrites, and red orpiment. Besides quartz, the following earthy minerals are met with in these veins, viz. brown-spar, calcareous-spar, heavy-spar, selenite, common garnet, and lithomarge. It occurs in bituminous-wood in Transylvania,—is found in Bohemia,—and is mentioned as a native of Si beria.
