Daubuisson analysed an ore sent from Freyberg as black ironstone, but which contained no iron. Its spe cific gravity was only 3.6, a proof of its being a distinct substance from that now described. 12. Sparry Ironstone. Spatheisenstein, Werner. Mincra Fcrri alba. Wall. t. ii. p. SSI.-P.
