804 EARTHY SALTS. ORDER I.—EARTHY SALTS. This Order contains all the Salts having an Earthy basis. They are easily soluble in water, and then have either a sweetish astringent, or saline bitter taste. Genus I.—Salts op Alumina. This Genus contains but two species, viz. Alum, and Rock-Butter. I.
