When put into nitrous acid, it effervesces for a mo ment, and then falls into grains. It is infusible before the blowpipe. It is phosphorescent when scratched with a knife. Constituent Parts. It forms a bed in primitive limestone, where it is asso ciated with brown garnets, blue-coloured calcareous-spar, trcmolite, aetynolite, and variegated copper-ore, at Dog- n atska in the Bannat of Temeswar. 2.
