It is common in China, where it is made intovafes, pagodas, and other ornamental works. The Indians make ufe of thefe veflels to pro cure a purgative medicine; for fuch purpofe they leave vinegar or lemon juice for feveral hours in the veffel, and afterwards drink it. Red arfenic is commonly found near vol canos, as at the Solfatara near Naples—in the mines of Nagyag in Tranfylvania—in the mines of Felfobanya in Upper Hungary—near Joa- chimfthal in Bohemia, and at Marienburg in Saxony.
