DAS KOMITEE, Henry L. Boeder, Walter Luettecke, Fred W. Meyer, Jr H (Translation of the above) A WORD TO THE MEMBERS OF THE KREUZCHOR! In no other city on your American concert tour will you find so many of the audience whose parents or grandparents came from your beloved Father- land; for the German people played a large part in the development of Saint Louis. Many of us here this evening will not only appreciate the beauty of your selections, but will also have the advantage of knowing the language in which they are sung. This evening you are singing in a city that is the musical center cf the great Mississippi Valley, the territory known in America as the “midwest”. Saint Louis is the key-city of this large agricultural area of the United States. Therefore we are happy to be able to show you that we represent not only the people who perform the task of feeding a great nation, but also those who appreciate the finest that the musical world can offer. THE COMMITTEE, Henry L. Boeder, Walter Luettecke, Fred W. Meyer, Jr.
