The majolica is well fired, and coated with an excellent glaze of great hardness and trans parency. The etchings under the glaze (designed by Mr. W. H. Edge) are commended for technical merit, and as a progress in this department of American pottery. The C.C. ware is commended for its hard and durable glaze. G. D.
